United Way of the Piedmont welcomes new board members

United Way of the Piedmont is excited to announce the election of nine new board members for the 2020-2023 term. They will join sixteen existing members to form the governing board for United Way of the Piedmont.

United Way of the Piedmont welcomes the following new members to the 2020-2021 Board of Directors:

Earl Alexander, Assistant County Administrator, County of Spartanburg
Walter Bennett, COO, Pelham Medical Center
Jennifer Cash, SVP, Synovus
Shaunte Evans, President, Spartanburg Housing Authority
Dana Fall, Superintendent, Cherokee County Schools
Beth Lancaster, Chief Marketing Officer, School District 7
Jonathan Waller, Plant Manager, Timken-Gaffney Bearing
Chris Santora, President of Self-Storage Division, Johnson Development Associates
Craig Haydamack, Chief Human Resources Officer, Milliken & Company

The United Way of the Piedmont Board of Directors is composed of strong leaders from Spartanburg, Cherokee, and Union counties. These members are tasked with representing their community through collaborative work and insuring the vitality of the organization. Board members work alongside United Way staff, this group of individuals helps to further carry out the mission of United Way of the Piedmont.

President & CEO, Paige Stephenson, says, “We are excited about our slate of new board members and the talents and experience they will bring to our board. We are also proud of the progress we have made to diversify the board in an effort to better represent our community. We continue to have conversations at the board level around racial equity and hope other organizations do the same.”
