May 19, 2014

SPARTANBURG, SC – Sherman College of Chiropractic and Universidad Central de Bayamón (UCB) in Puerto Rico recently signed a transfer agreement to simplify student admission into the doctor of chiropractic program at Sherman College.

Under the agreement, students can to take their prerequisite 90 semester hours at UCB, and then transfer into Sherman College’s doctor of chiropractic degree program after three years. This is Sherman College of Chiropractic’s second admission agreement signed this year in Puerto Rico, where the college is building strong ties to support further expansion of the chiropractic profession.

Sherman College President Dr. Edwin Cordero says this transfer agreement presents an attractive option for students seeking a career that plays a significant role in health promotion. “Sherman College is excited to welcome UCB students who are looking for a health care career that will allow them to bring principled chiropractic care to their communities and make a difference in the lives of others,” he said.

At Sherman College of Chiropractic, students learn from experienced faculty in a hands-on, highly individualized learning environment that makes for extraordinary success among graduates. The three-and-a-half year program is focused and rigorous, including one and a half years of internship experience in college’s on-campus Chiropractic Health Center. Chiropractic students engage in all aspects of patient care to develop clinical competency and prepare for practice.

Sherman College continually works to establish articulation agreements and pre-chiropractic programs with undergraduate institutions around the world to facilitate admission to its doctor of chiropractic program.
