FREE Workshops focusing on Homeownership, Credit, and Budgeting
Origin SC will host free financial education & homeownership workshops in February and is offering a brand new open forum series of monthly meet ups. Origin SC offers workshops around the tri-county area of Charleston, SC. We also offer one-on-one appointments with certified credit advisors. Credit Improvement & Making Ends Meet: Budgeting Workshop
Learn everything you need to know about credit improvement & basic budgeting techniques from our licensed credit and housing facilitators in this free 2-hour workshop. This class will help you learn the positive steps you can take to improve your credit, basic budgeting techniques, and day-to-day money management strategies. This workshop can be especially helpful for potential homebuyers.

eHome America Homebuyer Course
This course is the certified web-based program for prospective first-time homebuyers. Exceeding national industry standards, this course creates knowledgeable and default-resilient buyers ready for a lifetime of homeownership. Participants will gain an knowledge around steps of the home buying process, preparing for the expenses of homeownership, post purchase tips, and financial management of homeownership.

Intro to Homeownership
Learn the basics of homeownership before you dive in during this free 2-hour workshop led by a HUD-licensed facilitator. Gain a better understanding of the homeownership process– from the mortgage application, to selecting a real estate agent, obtaining homeowner’s insurance, and how to receive closing cost & down payment assistance.

Table Talk Tuesdays
We are excited to offer this brand new open forum series of free monthly meet ups called Table Talk. Table Talk aims to provide a casual and fun way that people can begin to have conversations centered around all things related to financial literacy, budgeting, credit improvement, & homeownership, but in the informal style known as table talk. The one hour talk sessions will be hosted and guided by HUD certified, licensed credit counselors.
