Upstate SC Alliance hires Spratt

Hire brings international background to Business Recruitment role

The Upstate SC Alliance has hired Samantha Spratt, a trilingual Brazilian-American dual national with extensive experience in international business development, as Business Recruitment Officer.

In her role, Spratt will provide support to companies that are considering expanding their business in the U.S. She will work with the Alliance’s public and private sector investors to showcase the Upstate as an ideal business location.

Spratt has a background in international business and law, including contract negotiations, regulatory compliance, strategic planning, and business development initiatives.

She previously served for five years as Executive Director of the European American Chamber of Commerce-Carolinas, which is based in Greenville. There, she led local business development and community building activities in the Upstate, interacting with a dynamic network of transatlantic business executives. She also held various leadership roles during eight years with Wahl Clipper Corporation.

Spratt moved to Greenville with her husband and daughter in 2015, after handpicking the Upstate to call home. She holds a Law Degree from Univap, Brazil, and an MBA from Rockford University in Illinois.
