Upstate SC Alliance Hires Two, Promotes One

GREENVILLE, SC – March 26, 2012 – Upstate SC Alliance, the public/private economic development group designed to stimulate jobs and capital investment in the 10-county Upstate South Carolina region, has hired Erin Ford and Aimee Redick as Investment Recruitment Officers and promoted Jennifer Miller to Vice President of the organization. 

“Jennifer has been a great asset during her six year tenure at the Upstate SC Alliance transforming our global marketing strategy so that we are reaching more companies than ever before,” said president and chief executive officer Hal Johnson.

“I am enthusiastic about her expanded leadership role with the organization and what it means for the future of the Alliance and our region.” Miller served the Alliance as Research Manager for five years prior to becoming Marketing Director in 2011. 

Erin Ford will serve as the organization’s lead point-of-contact for the bioscience and energy industry targets.  Previously, she spent two and a half years at the Simpsonville Area Chamber of Commerce as the director of development. She also brings with her 15 years of broadcast television experience most recently having worked for a PBS affiliate. She holds a B.A. in Communication from La Salle University and graduated from Leadership Simpsonville in 2012. 

Aimee Redick will handle the automotive industry target and centers of influence. She received her J.D. from the University of South Carolina School of Law. Prior to joining the Alliance, she worked in the sales and marketing department of The Cliffs Communities. 

“The Upstate SC Alliance has reorganized its’ business development focus so that our team members will be experts in their respected fields. Erin and Aimee each bring unique sales experience that will complement their industry focus,” said Johnson.
