Upstate Warrior Solution to Host Three-Waterfall Hike at DuPont State Forest This Saturday

Local veterans, active-duty service members, first responders, and their families are invited to take on the trails this weekend as Upstate Warrior Solution’s Recreation & Wellness program hosts a group hike through DuPont State Forest.
Scheduled for Saturday, September 26, the excursion guides hikers past three of the forest’s signature landmarks: Triple Falls, High Falls, and Hooker Falls. The group will gather at 9:00 a.m. ahead of a sharp 9:30 a.m. step-off.
Covering approximately 3.6 miles, the route features moderate to strenuous terrain, beginning with steep elevation gains on the approach to Triple Falls before leveling into rolling trails. The hike concludes near Hooker Falls, offering participants a chance to cool off at the popular downstream swimming area.
The outing is designed to promote physical wellness, outdoor adventure, and peer-to-peer connection among military personnel and emergency responders across the Upstate.
Organizers urge participants to prepare for rugged trail conditions by wearing sturdy hiking boots or trail shoes, emphasizing that open-backed footwear such as Crocs is strongly discouraged. Hikers should also bring ample water and trail snacks.
