On Monday, September 4, stylists of the Vanity Salon team headed to Atlantic City for the Miss America 2018 Pageant. Vanity Salon owner Kim Coleman, along with staff members Haley Hickman, Chelsea Sharon, Julia Perez and Jenn Cady from Jenn Cady Photography, were all selected to do hair and makeup for several Miss America contestants during the competition, which took place on Sunday, September 10.

The contestants that Vanity Salon stylists worked with included: Miss Montana (Maddie Murray), Miss Iowa (Chelsea Dubczak), Miss California (Jillian Smith), Miss West Virginia (Tamia Hardy) and Miss New Mexico (Taylor Rey), who made it to the top 15 in the competition. Vanity’s hair and makeup was aired nationally on ABC during the live 2018 Miss America Pageant to over 5 million viewers.

“I can’t thank the team at Vanity Salon enough for taking care of all my hair/makeup during Miss America prelims,” explains Miss Iowa, Chelsea Dubczak. “It was such a blessing to be able to just sit and focus on the competition while trusting that my team was making me look FAB.”

This is the fourth year that Vanity Salon stylists have been chosen to work with Miss America contestants at the competition. “This pageant is something our team looks forward to each year,” says Coleman. “The energy in Atlantic City is amazing and the girls were awesome to work with.” “It truly is so exciting to be a part of their journey.”
