Verizon Wireless names new Region President

Krista Bourne – seasoned wireless veteran – will lead Carolinas and Tennessee region
GREENVILLE, SC – Verizon Wireless, operator of the nation’s largest and most reliable 4G LTE network, names Krista Bourne Regional President of the Carolinas and Tennessee region. In this role, Bourne will be responsible for successfully leading the team responsible for delivering extraordinary customer service to residents in North Carolina, South Carolina and Tennessee and growing the sales, marketing, operations and financial performance in the three-state region. She replaces long-time Verizon Wireless veteran Jerry Fountain who recently retired after 30 years in the business.
Bourne, a 15-year veteran of the wireless business, has held positions of increasing responsibility within Verizon including director – Customer Service in the Northeastern U.S., director – Customer Service for Verizon in the Southeast, and director -Retail Sales for Upstate New York. Most recently, Bourne was President of Verizon’s Houston/Gulf Coast region where she led sales, service, leadership development and business transformation efforts. She was an active member in her community and served on the Boards of the Houston Area Women’s Center and Houston Technology Center.

The Carolinas/Tennessee region of Verizon Wireless is home to over 10,000 employees, 121 corporate retail stores, and seven customer care call centers. In 2014, Verizon invested over $497 million in network operations in the three-state region.
