Verizon Wireless opens new ‘Smart Store’ in Easley, S.C.

Company celebrates grand opening with ribbon-cutting event and $20,000 HopeLine grant to Safe Harbor

EASLEY, S.C. – Verizon Wireless has opened its first “Smart Store” in Easley, now located at 4867 Calhoun Memorial Highway and offering area consumers a wide variety of the world’s most advanced smartphones, tablets and other wireless technologies. In honor of the grand opening of the new Easley store, Verizon Wireless presented a $20,000 HopeLine grant to Safe Harbor domestic violence shelter.

The grant will support Safe Harbor’s Relationship Education Project, designed to enhance middle and high school students’ awareness of dating abuse and healthy relationships through education and interaction. Verizon Wireless’ HopeLine program is a nationwide phone recycling effort that distributes previously owned wireless phones to victims of domestic violence and supports non-profit domestic violence advocacy groups.

‘Smart Store’ elevates customer experience

The new Smart Store retail concept also showcases numerous interactive “Lifestyle Zones” for customers to engage with specialists and experience hundreds of wireless wearables, smart accessories, gadgets, apps and services. These Lifestyle Zones include:

• Amplify It– numerous Bluetooth speakers and more for the music aficionado
• Power Zone– to help make sure your devices always have plenty of battery power

The store, which can be reached at 864-855-9440, is open from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday to Friday, 9 a.m. to 8 p.m.on Saturday, and 12 p.m. to 6 p.m. on Sunday.
