Veteran banker Ellen Stahlsmith joins United Community Bank in the Upstate

United Community Bank welcomed Ellen Stahlsmith as SVP/Senior Commercial Relationship Manager to its Upstate South Carolina team.

“Ellen’s experience and extensive knowledge of the financial services industry make her the perfect candidate to join our team,” said Michelle Seaver, President of Greenville County for United Community Bank. “She is eager to engage in this community and build customer relationships. Stahlsmith joins United after over three decades of experience in both middle market and commercial community banking in Georgia and North Carolina. Her expertise includes commercial real estate lending, owner occupied financing, C&I lending and asset-based lending. For United, she will service markets from Greenville, South Carolina to areas south of Charlotte, North Carolina. Stahlsmith is a graduate of Furman University.

Stahlsmith, a Greenville native, recently returned to the Upstate area after spending many years in Atlanta and Charlotte. She served on the board for LIFESPAN for nine years and was a member of the Charlotte Rotary for more than decade. She is also a graduate of Leadership Charlotte. In her spare time, Stahlsmith can be found swimming, cooking, landscaping or entertaining.
