Volunteers Tackle Beautification Projects at Second Saturday Work Day in Clinton
April 14, 2025Community spirit was on full display during the most recent Second Saturday Work Day on April 12, as nine volunteers came together to complete a series of downtown improvement projects organized by Main Street Clinton.
During the work session, volunteers painted four light poles, dug up two flower beds near city signs in preparation for spring planting, and collected three bags of trash.
“These kinds of hands-on efforts make a real difference in the appearance and pride of our downtown,” said Main Street Clinton President Susan Tallman. “We’re grateful for every person who shows up to help.”
Second Saturday Work Days are held monthly and open to anyone who wants to pitch in to keep Clinton looking its best. All tools and supplies are provided, and no experience is necessary.
The next work day is scheduled for Saturday, May 10. Volunteers are asked to meet at 9 a.m. in front of the Main Street Clinton office.
