WebsterRogers announces merger with Summerville SC, CPA firm

FLORENCE, SC — October 1, 2008 – Regional accounting and consulting firm WebsterRogers LLP has announced its merger with the certified public accounting practice of Bryan, Truesdale, Adkins & Williams, PA, whose principals have provided services in Summerville, SC, for over 27 years.

Martha H. Bryan, James T. Truesdale, Ellen K. Adkins, and Betsy M. Williams formed the current firm in February 1999. In early 2001, Charlotte E. Allen became a shareholder.

Located on picturesque Summerville Town Square, the newly affiliated WR firm offers a complete range of accounting, tax, auditing, management, healthcare, and other services.

“We are happy about this merger, which will enhance our presence in the Summerville and Charleston markets,” commented Carroll Webster, CPA, managing partner of WebsterRogers. Those joining WebsterRogers include:

Martha H. Bryan, CPA – After completing her accounting degree at the College of Charleston in 1976, Bryan began her career in Summerville. She specializes in audits of school districts and governments.  She also provides corporate, personal, and trust income tax service.

James T. Truesdale, CPA – Truesdale earned his bachelor’s degree from Charleston Southern University in May 1969. He specializes in personal, corporate, probate, and estate tax services, in addition to tax planning and management advisory services to small businesses and individuals.

Ellen K. Adkins, CPA – Adkins earned her bachelor’s degree in accounting and finance (double major) from Virginia Tech in 1981 and her master’s degree in business administration from Virginia Commonwealth University. She is also a Certified QuickBooks ProAdvisor. She provides auditing services to governmental, not-for-profit and for profit entities. Adkins provides technical review and support services to others in her firm. She also provides tax compliance financial reporting services for small businesses.

Betsy M. Williams, CPA, CFP – Williams earned her bachelor’s degree in accounting from Clemson University in 1982 and her master’s degree in accounting from the University of Charleston in 2000. She earned the certified financial planner (CFP) designation in 1998. She focuses on tax planning and management advisory services to small businesses, individual and corporate income tax planning and preparation, and audits of pension plans.

Charlotte E. Allen, CPA – Allen graduated cum laude from Charleston Southern University in 1974. In addition to her public accounting experience, she has worked for private and not-for-profit entities. She specializes in governmental audits.
