Wells Fargo Names Kathy Heffley Regional President for South Carolina

COLUMBIA, SC – Wells Fargo & Company (NYSE: WFC) has named Kathy Heffley the regional president for Community Banking in South Carolina. Heffley will report to Community Banking Lead Regional President for the Carolinas Rick Redden and will be based in Columbia. She succeeds Redden, who held the position since 2007. Heffley will be responsible for Retail and Small Business Banking team members located in 145 stores across South Carolina.

A 26-year banking veteran and native of Greenville, S.C., Heffley began her career in 1988 at First State Bank of Texas, which was acquired by Wells Fargo in 2001. She has held several retail leadership roles, including senior vice president of retail banking, senior vice president and district manager of regional banking for eight years before moving to Columbia in 2009, when she became the area president of the Midlands market.

“With her extensive experience and strong business acumen, Kathy will be focused on maintaining and building our presence in South Carolina,” said Redden. “She is a results-driven leader who will be instrumental in helping our customers succeed financially and leading our team members to achieving success.”

In 2014, Wells Fargo contributed $3.4 million to nonprofits and schools through corporate and foundation giving in South Carolina, and team members recorded 37,200 hours of volunteer service to more than 1,300 organizations and schools across the state.

Heffley is a graduate of the University of South Carolina. She is a member of the Greater Columbia Chamber of Commerce, the University of South Carolina Alumni Association, the Columbia Urban League and the Hospice Home of Columbia.
