SPARTANBURG, SC – Wells Fargo recently presented a $12,500 grant check to The Arts Partnership of Spartanburg, the nonprofit administrative agency that owns and operates Chapman Cultural Center (CCC) and provides cultural leadership in Spartanburg County. The corporate gift to Chapman’s United Arts Fund will support the agency’s award-winning arts education efforts, community grants programs, diverse public events and services, and its eight cultural “Partner” organizations.

“Wells Fargo is pleased to support The Arts Partnership of Spartanburg,” said Wells Fargo Spartanburg Market President Ethan Burroughs. “Supporting education of the arts and culture in our local communities connects directly with the vision and values of our company. Our goal is to help build strong and vibrant communities, improve the quality of life, and make a positive difference.”

More specifically, the grant will support the Center’s Arts Advantage programming that reaches more than 47,000 students and provides 119,000 unique cultural experiences each year in Spartanburg County. Wells Fargo’s grant will allow CCC to continue exhibiting hundreds of works of children’s art in its Student Galleries, schedule professional teaching artists in week-long residencies, place performers on school’s stages, and invite large numbers of students to its campus for performances in dance, music, and theatre.

United Arts Fund, which fosters arts education in Spartanburg County, maintains the world-class $40 million facility in downtown Spartanburg, supports eight cultural Partners, and builds programming for all citizens both off and on campus at CCC.

“Our organization resonates with Wells Fargo’s values of diversity, inclusion, and leadership,” said President and CEO of CCC Jennifer Evins. “As cultural leaders in the County, we’re always looking for new ways to diversify our programs and reach more people, and that takes the support of our local businesses. We help each other achieve success.”
