West Ashley Farmers Market to begin 2019 season Wednesday, April 24

The West Ashley Farmers Market will return to Ackerman Park to begin its 2019 season on Wednesday, April 24, operating from 3 to 7 p.m. The weekly Wednesday markets will continue through Wednesday, October 2, 2019.
The West Ashley Farmers Market is produced by the City of Charleston Office of Cultural Affairs in cooperation with the City of Charleston Parks Department with guidance from the Special Events Committee.
The WAFM is dedicated to the support and advocacy of local farmers and growers and features fresh seasonal produce, as well as sweet and savory foods from area vendors who source ingredients from nearby farms. The WAFM builds upon the success of the Charleston Farmers Market by expanding access to local fresh food, supporting the local economy and local agriculture, providing a civic gathering place and opportunities for community engagement. A curated program of live entertainment and family-friendly activities enhance the farmers’ market experience.
