Weston Moore Receives Nationally Recognized Elijah Watt Sells Award

GREENVILLE, SC  – Elliott Davis Decosimo announced that Weston Moore, a staff auditor in the firm’s Greenville office, received the 2014 Elijah Watt Sells Award for his outstanding performance on the CPA exam.The award is given annually by the American Institute of CPAs (AICPA) to recognize those who obtain a cumulative average score above 95.5 across all four sections of the CPA examination. Moore was one of 60 candidates recognized. Over 90,000 individuals sat for the CPA exam in 2014.

“There have been only three Elijah Watt Sells Award winners from South Carolina in the past five years and we are very fortunate to now have two of those winners as Elliott Davis Decosimo employees in our Greenville office,” said Senior Manager Brett Lanzl. “Winning the Elijah Watt Sells Award is a remarkable accomplishment for Weston and one that we take great pride in. Moore received his B.S. in accounting from Clemson University, and during those four years worked on the finance team of his local church. He went on to get his Masters of Professional Accountancy also from Clemson University where he worked as a graduate assistant. Moore earned the Elijah Watt Sells Award while taking a full schedule of graduate level classes.
