Where Good Times Meet Good Work: The Lumberyard Hosts LCCA Benefit
June 15, 2026The Lumberyard will host a community benefit evening on Saturday, June 20, with proceeds supporting the Laurens County Cancer Association and local families facing cancer.
The event, presented by Self Regional Healthcare, begins at 4 p.m. with live music from Chaz Michaels, followed at 6 p.m. by Pat Patterson of Large Time Network (WPCC), who will spin beach, boogie and blues throughout the evening. Organizers describe the gathering as a casual, family-friendly night featuring food and drink specials, live music and fellowship.
The Lumberyard will offer a special LCCA menu, with 100 percent of sales from featured items going directly to the association. Featured items include slow pecan smoked ribs, crab cake with corn soup, chips and queso, and a special LCCA lager brewed locally by Mill House. Guests can also purchase a limited LCCA pint glass and receive their first beverage free, with proceeds from each glass benefiting the association. In addition, 10 percent of The Lumberyard’s profits from the evening will be donated to the LCCA.
“Because of generous support from our community, the Laurens County Cancer Association continues to ensure that no one has to walk alone on their cancer journey in Laurens County,” said Anna Miller, executive director of the Laurens County Cancer Association. “This event is more than just a night out. It is an opportunity to come together as a community and directly support local cancer patients. Every sale throughout the evening helps fund the assistance programs that provide hope and practical support to our neighbors facing cancer.”
Proceeds from the evening support the assistance programs the LCCA provides to Laurens County residents undergoing cancer treatment. Organizers encourage residents to bring family, friends and coworkers for a night of food, music and community support.
The evening is made possible through the support of presenting sponsor Self Regional Healthcare, along with WPCC and Mill House, which brewed the special LCCA lager for the event. The Lumberyard is located in Clinton. For more information, residents can refer to the event flyers or contact the Laurens County Cancer Association.
