William Floyd Joins the Board of the SC Chamber of Commerce

COLUMBIA, SC – September 17, 2008 – William Floyd III, an employment and labor attorney in Nexsen Pruet’s Columbia office, will serve on the 2008-2009 Board of Directors of the South Carolina Chamber of Commerce.

Floyd has twenty years of experience counseling employers on a broad range of labor issues (such as arbitrations, collective bargaining, unfair labor practice charges and union campaigns) and employment issues (such as wrongful termination lawsuits, employment discrimination claims, and employee benefits litigation).

Floyd received his B.A., magna cum laude, from Wofford College in 1984 and his law degree from the University of South Carolina in 1987.

The South Carolina Chamber of Commerce’s goal is to increase per capita income and global competitiveness in the Palmetto State.  Floyd was officially elected at a Board meeting on September 16th in Columbia.
