Women in Philanthropy Offers Grants of Up to $50,000 for Beaufort County Nonprofits
October 31, 2026Women in Philanthropy, a fund of the Community Foundation of the Lowcountry, is accepting applications for its 2027 grant program, offering awards ranging from $15,000 to $50,000 to nonprofit organizations serving Beaufort County.
This year’s grant theme, “It Starts at Home: Building Pathways to Housing and Family Stability in Beaufort County,” focuses on programs that help individuals and families overcome housing challenges and establish a foundation for long-term stability.
Funding will support projects that expand access to safe, affordable housing through coordinated services designed to remove barriers, connect individuals and families with essential resources, promote employment opportunities and strengthen economic self-sufficiency.
Eligible projects should address the connections between housing stability and other factors that contribute to family well-being, including access to services and opportunities that help individuals achieve greater independence.
Established in 2003 by a group of local women, Women in Philanthropy works to encourage collective giving, inspire women to become involved in philanthropy, grow an endowment to sustain grantmaking and support innovative approaches to community needs.
The organization awards grants to nonprofit organizations providing programs that enhance the quality of life for residents of Beaufort County. Since 2006, Women in Philanthropy has awarded more than $1.3 million in grants supporting initiatives in health, human services, arts and culture, community development, education, environmental issues, and the history and heritage of the Lowcountry.
