Wrestling Coming to Clinton High School

June 13, 2022

Clinton High School recently announced they are adding wrestling to the array of sports offered to students.

With the new sport comes a new coach.  Andy Wright comes to CHS from Emerald High School in Greenwood.  Wright will serve as a Career Development Facilitator at the middle school in addition to his coaching responsibilities.

“I am so excited to start our wrestling program,” said Louie Alexander Athletic Director. “We were able to hire a quality coach and even a better man in Coach Andy Wright.  Wrestling will provide opportunities for all types of kids to compete – big and small.”

Athletes in grades 9-12 will compete.  The plan is to field a middle school team in the near future as well.
