Writer John Lane will be speaking at Spartanburg Day School April 19

SPARTANBURG, SC – Acclaimed nature writer and Wofford College associateprofessor John Lane will be on the Spartanburg Day Schoolcampus on Thursday, April 19, 2012 to discuss his book, “MyPaddle to the Sea,” about crossing South Carolina by canoe.
Putting in ata creek behind his home near Spartanburg, Lane makes a more than 300-mile tripdown the Broad River and across Lake Marion, eventually reaching the AtlanticOcean by way of the Santee. Lane will show a powerpoint of his adventureas well as discuss the high and low points as he points out in his book.
