Clark Wins Special Election for County Council Seat – District 3

Shirley Clark (D) has won the special election to fill the County Council seat vacated when Councilman Garrett McDaniel resigned to become the Director of Executive Scheduling and Operations for the Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) for the Biden Administration.

Polls were open today from 7:00 am to 7:00 pm and voters in District 3 had two choices; Shirley Clark (D) or Scott Tollison (R).

Unofficial results show that 416 voted in the special election with Clark receiving 309 votes and Tollison receiving 107.  There are 4,515 registered voters in District 3 and 9.24 percent participated in this special election.
